About PRP Therapy
Dr. Garry Lee is the only Las Vegas, NV, area cosmetic physician to win The Aesthetic Award for his amazing use of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in rejuvenating skin in combination therapy at Look Younger MD. PRP therapy has an FDA indication for use in orthopedic surgery, but is increasingly being used off-label as one of the most sought-after cosmetic procedures in the industry. The treatment utilizes your own human growth factors to stimulate growth of your skin, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. It can also be combined with microneedling and radio-frequency (RF) treatments for incredible results in what Dr. Lee refers to as Triple Tight Technology (TTT). At Look Younger MD, Dr. Lee also utilizes PRP therapy off-label to stimulate hair growth for both male and female patients and co-authored a PRP article with Yale Plastic Surgeon Gordon Sasaki (Ranked Top 10 in the USA by CNN) in MedEsthetics Magazine. To learn more about PRP therapy, contact Look Younger MD in the Las Vegas, NV area to schedule a consultation.
Patients who have dynamic wrinkles, droopy skin, volume loss, and uneven skin tone are typically the best candidates for PRP therapy skin rejuvenation. Since it naturally promotes collagen and elastin production, it is also a wonderful treatment option for refreshing tired-looking skin. Inform Dr. Lee if you have certain any skin conditions, anemia, or blood disorders to decide if it is safe for you to receive PRP therapy.
Once you are seated comfortably in one of our private treatment rooms, a small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm and placed in a centrifuge machine. In minutes, the different components of the blood will be separated and ready for your treatment. We will place the Platelet-Rich Plasma into a sterile syringe and inject it into the predetermined locations or have his expert staff use in microneedling, often in conjunction with Radio-Frequency treatments for maximal stimulation and effect.
What to Expect
Enhanced production of collagen and elastin can create tauter, more youthful looking skin and rejuvenated hair growth. As it utilizes your own blood, the risk of adverse or allergic reactions is basically nonexistent. You should expect the treatment area to be a bit red for a day after PRP therapy as traces of red blood cells can make it into the plasma injection. A cold pack can be applied to the injection area to minimize discomfort or minor swelling. We recommend you receive treatments every 4 – 6 weeks for three treatments for best results, followed by annual visits for best results.
