Dr. Lee is the National WINNER of the Top 4 Cosmetic Injection Awards in the United States--in direct competition with hundreds of the Top Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, and Aesthetic Physicians in the country from Beverly Hills to New York City. He specializes in Botox, Juvederm, Dysport, Microneedling, Platelet-Rich Plasma, and the O-Shot and is the Physician Instructor for Allergan, one of only 3 selected from 700+ Botox & Juvederm Clinics in the State of Nevada. He is a National Lecturer on cosmetic wrinkle injections, the Author of an Amazon.com Best Seller in Medical Procedure, and is an internationally renowned Leader in the growing field of minimally invasive aesthetic medicine.

The FDA first approved Restylane in 2004 and as one of the very first to realize it’s enormous potential to fill wrinkles, we were honored and to receive the Platinum Award as the #1 Restylane Practice in the State of Nevada. Since then, the FDA has approved a long line of other cosmetic injectable wrinkle fillers for the face, most notably the Juvederm line of fillers which now dominate the US market. Both Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm are made by Allergan, the leader in the USA for what they do: respectively, a muscle relaxer and wrinkle filler for loose skin. Together, the duo comprises what is often called in the vernacular, the Liquid Facelift. However, keep in mind that while the combination may give results that may appear much like a surgical facelift, it is not truly a facelift.

So which wrinkle filler is best? It depends on where you are injecting. The following are my particular preferences--having both been the Juvederm and Restylane Physician Instructor for the State of Nevada:

In the lips, you need a smoother and thinner cosmetic injectable filler, so Juvederm Ultra or Juvederm Vobella is usually the best. A thicker filler may often appear lumpy since the skin over your lips is so thin. For the nasolabial and marionette lines besides the nose and mouth, a thicker product is longer lasting such a Juvederm Ultra Plus. For the cheek area, where we often replace the loss of deep loss of facial fat, we need a thick and longer lasting product such a Juvederm Voluma to be able to structurally support the cheek and minimize the skin sagging which leads to jowl formation.
